Our double decker bus is more than a photo tour. You will have the chance to hop on and hop off at multiple stops and explore all of Austin’s top attractions. With each stop containing more than a handful of museums and/or landmarks, there is something for everyone. Prefer to stay on the bus? No worries! There is a guide that gives an overview of the highlights for each stop.
Infants and lap babies must be secured to their parents via a harness to sit on the upper deck.

It was a fantastic, funny, safe, and interesting tour with correlation with the history of the Lone Star State. Thanks for taking us around!
This was a great way to see the city of Austin. Although we never "hopped off" due to time constraints it was still an informative and entertaining trip.
Hesitant at first but tour exceeded expectations. Great seeing locations we had not seen before and listening to guides jokes and of history of city sights as well. Highly recommend. Tour bus coud use a thorough cleaning though. Otherwise a ' highly recommend' event.
We really enjoyed the tour, beautiful weather was a bonus!
Very professional group running this tour and easy way to see an over view of the city.
Announcer had very adolescent (or perhaps more like an 8 year old) ‘humour’ which clearly did not appeal to some on the bus. More importantly some of his comments which he seemed to find funny were ageist, sexist and otherwise not sensitive to diversity. That in itself ruined what would otherwise have been a reasonable tour. Moreover he targeted one passenger with personal questions and would not back down or let it go, seemingly unable to read body language.
Loved that there was a REAL person on board who knew all sorts of things about Austin. I have never enjoyed the hop on hop off when there were those recorded options with earphones because they were often not in sync with where the driver could get through traffic etc. This was great!
My first visit to Austin and when traveling to a city I haven’t been before, I love tours that you can hop on/hop off tours. On this tour, our first guide was upbeat and knowledgeable. We hopped off at LBJ Museum. Hopped back on to a different tour guide. He pointed out buildings, but I like stories to go along with the places. Maybe an interesting tidbit! I asked two questions that he didn’t know the answer to either. Maybe he was a new guide? He was looking on his phone...maybe trying to figure off something to talk about??
The hop on hop off tours are the easiest ways to see a new city.
With all of the events happening, Clearly the driver couldn't help the confusion of the first 30 minutes :) The guy up top on the mic was trying too hard at being a comedian :)
The young woman who narrated the tour was charming and knowledgeable. I recommend that she get a big raise in pay.
Very informative, great tour guides
Vehicle was comfortable, they had water, sunglasses, water misters, and the guide even offered suntan lotion. Being a little tall, Fun ducking down for tree limbs and traffic lights/signs on the upper deck. Great value and driver plus tour guide did an excellent job.
Great overall look at Austin. Tom was a well informed and entertaining tour guide... Lots of laughs and Captain John did a great job too. Highly recommend
Mary was very informative and the driver was great in missing tree limbs
My mom and I visited Austin for the first time over Labor Day weekend and decided to take the double decker tour. We opted for the single loop tour instead of the hop-on, hop-off option and that was definitely the right choice for us. The 90 minute loop provided a good overview of Austin, taking us through downtown, around campus, and back to the visitor center while our friendly tour guide highlighted landmarks intermixed with corny jokes and puns. It's hot in Austin, but we decided to sit up top. The double decker staff made sure each of us had a cup of ice water and checked-in periodically to offer ice water spray bottles and cold towels. Our driver also made sure to stop in the shade wherever possible, and was quite deft at maneuvering around the tree branches that line Austin's streets. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend it.
Well worth the time and money. Guide was outstanding, just corny enough to be hilarious. Get the on and off and make a day of it.
The driver and tour guide were nice and informative. The duck boat tour we took a couple days later gave more detailed history information.
She was clear and informative
The tourguide and driver was verry good The infos are helpfuul
Recommend to visitors in the city for just one day.
Fair to good
Driver did a fine job of managing the vehicle. Glasses of cool water were plentiful. And the guide's presentation was informative as well as entertaining, sprinkled with good humor without being overly cute. Thanks!
Overall experience was very good. Guide was informative and the water, spray bottles and cold towels were a nice touch on a hot day
Loop 2 de 11:00 à 13 hres
Fun and informative
Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Joe did a fantastic job and kept us engaged during the whole trip. His timing was excellent in getting us into and out of each venue. He has a very nice sense of humor. We enjoyed the variety of music. Probably would have enjoyed the country-western better if we could have found a seat. Joe was very nice to share a piece of pizza with all of us. AND, definitely enjoyed the Starlight. Altogether, we will recommend this to our friends who are coming in a few weeks.
Daisy was a great tour guide. Enjoyed seeing Austin.
Enjoyed the tour. Guide was great!!!
Great way to see the sights
I thought getting on and off was a great feature. I do wish there was a little more time in the day to spend more time at each of the stops.
It was overall enjoyable and the water on board was a nice touch. Our tour guide was having a little trouble with his dates and a little too much U of T. A stop along the middle of the river trail or pedestrian bridge would be nice. A good first look at Austin.
Pretty good. There were other interesting buildings along the route of which no mention was made. Guess this just depends on the guide. Good basic overview of Austin.
Interesting and informative.
Was able to know much more of Austin downtown in a fadt, comfortable way. The guides were very knowledgeable and awesome...took good care of us
Excellent commentary delightfully rendered. Journey trip was a too short overall so seek out additional points of interest to extend to a 3-4 hour trip. Quite expensive outing compared to European Red Bus city tours. But well worth doing.
Despite the cold and rainy weather, Daisy, our tour guide, and Mike, our driver couldn't have been more accommodating, helpful, informative and cheerful. Thank you.
Friendly staff nice bus. But not worth the money for the six stops. One stop is a five minute walk from the visitor center where you first get the bus. Just rent a "B" bike for $8 and you can get to all of the same places. Just want to reiterate staff is really great though. Just a weak product
Wonderful and informative. Great blankets for the chilly day.
Very interesting - helped me plan the remainder of my trip.
There is no reason in this modern age for a double decker bus to be leaking on the inside like it was today. The narrator was EXCELLENT, however.
